Of course, as the gods would have it…
the MOMENT I decide to be brave…and initiate contact with the potential love of my life,
he IGNORES my text message (photo’d above)!!
There are a number of reasons why this may have happened :
- He thinks I’m a creeper/stalker/lonely cat lady. I mentioned to my co-worker that I thought he was cute. The next thing I knew, she was handing me his number. Apparently, she went up to him and told him that her coworker (he’s a contract worker at my job) likes him. He gave her his number to give to me. At least this is the story that was told to me. He very well could have been like “What in the hell is this high school sh*t about?!?!” and gave her a fake number!
- I could have entered the number incorrectly. It’s possible, that in my haste to contact the potential love of my life, I entered his number in incorrectly. For the sake of my ego, THIS is the story with which we’re going!
- As I mentioned earlier, he is a contract worker. So he may or may not have access to the company’s intranet site. In the off chance that he does, it’s likely that he went on there to see who I was. This ordinarily would not be a problem. But OMG I look like Old Mother Hubbard in the photo that they have of me!! Again, for the sake of my ego, we’re going to assume that this was not the case.
Whatever the reasons, the fact still remains that. . .
he scratched my heart…
sabotaged my future love affair
and took my ego out in a dark alley and shot it in the left knee cap!
