Aaaaaaaaaaaand I’m back like I never left! Y’all have no idea how much I’ve missed blogging. Of all the things that I do (photography, vlogging, social media management), writing has always been my number one passion. Over the years, it’s kind of fallen by the wayside, because blogging has become less and less popular. However, I think it’s a great way for me to share all that I have going on in my life. Unless y’all don’t care lol. If that’s the case, just let a sistah know that she’s wasting her precious lil time *cries in unicorn tears*.
Anydoodle, for my first post back, I thought I’d drop some hair extension goodness from Privileged Hair Extensions. The company reached out to me a few weeks about reviewing their hair extensions. Boy oh boy was I lucky! This hair is everything and then some! Has me walking around feeling myself like …
When I say that this hair is life-giving. I truly mean it. The luster is absolutely magical. It sits right between Low and Medium, so it blends in beautifully with my own hair. Well, it blends as best it can . . . since my natural hair is as disrespectful as it gets! Just . . .
I did record a couple of videos that go into more detail about why I think this hair is so awesome. If you missed them, swing by my YouTube channel to check them out! The specifications for those interested are: 16-17inch, Low-Medium Luster, 9.5 ounces. And for those that need further persuading, here’s some more eye candy.
It’s been a while since I last wore my 24-inch hair extensions (and by “a while”, I do mean a few weeks). But with winter just around the corner, I figured this was the perfect time to bring them back out and get my Beyonce on!
So here are a few pics from earlier today, after I curled my hair with a 1-inch curling iron. Enjoy!

I paid a visit to the Griffith Observatory the other day and was, unfortunately, GROSSLY underwhelmed! Bu that’s neither here nor there. The view from the top of the building was amazing and allowed for me (a.k.a. the bf) to snap some pretty awesome photos! With the help of Photoshop and Illustrator, we were able to spice things up a bit.
Have a looksie for yourself!
Fight on Trojans! Yesterday, I attended USC’s homecoming game with a few old coworkers/friends. I can sum up the way the game went in just a few words: 21 to 0 in the FIRST quarter! USC was not playing yesterday. They showed up and kicked some Buffalo butt!
I checked out of the game by the 2nd quarter (I missed the tailgating fun, so I was sober as an AA member), but I still had a good time! Check out all of the photos from the event below:
Chucking up the dueces!
I saw this scarf at H&M and I just HAD to purchase it for the game! I ended up changing this outfit because it was hot as the devil’s admit outside!
Yes! Summertime is here! You KNOW what that means, right? It’s time to cut down those tresses and try on something short and sassy. If you’re a commitment-phobe like me and you can’t imagine cutting your natural hair, invest in some hair extensions and let your imagination run wild!
This short hairstyle is really new for me. I usually wear my hair long (My hair = my hair extensions. For all the hair police out there, before you even open your mouth, I see you.). However, this LA heat makes it almost impossible to wear any hair length that’s past my ear lobes! Lord knows that i’m not going to sit myself across from some FINE gentleman and start sweating like a southern farm animal. No ma’am. So this will be my go-to hairstyle until it starts to cool down a bit. It’s super versatile. I can wear it straight, curly, wavy, wild and free. You name it! This summer won’t know what hit it!
If you’d like to try this look out without hair extensions, say a little prayer and visit your local hair salon. If you’re interested in recreating this look with hair extensions, check out some of the following sites :
If you haven’t noticed, I have a strange obsession with purple lipsticks. I think I’ve purchased over five different shades (although my best friend thinks they all look the same) in the past month. I can’t help it! Purple shades tend to look really good on my skin tone.
Thus far, MAC’s Rebel has been my favorite. However, I recently picked up Heroine, which is a moderately bright, matte purple lipstick. It’s slowly becoming one of my favorites!

Nothing says “Come hither” or ‘Take me I’m yours” like a voluminous set of curls and an exaggerated side swept bang. This hairstyle provides a little bit of mystique while still serving up the sexy. Trust me, no man (or woman #nojudging) will be able to keep his eyes off of you. Unless, of course, you’re naked, then he might find it a bit difficult.
Anywho, here are a few more photos of the dramatic side swept bang :
If you’d like to give this look a try, here’s an awesome video detailing how you can achieve it on your own (because no one wants to spend $200 bucks on something they can do themselves) :
Last night I hit the mean streets of LA with one of my favorite coworkers, S Boogie. A group of her good friends and I decided to dip into The Crocker Club on Spring Street.
When we arrived, there was NO ONE inside of the club. I guess the $10 cover charge was for the air that I’d be breathing. Despite the lack of patrons, I still had a pretty good time (but that could be the leftover cranberry and vodka talking!). The venue was pretty clean. There were a couple of dance floors and several small rooms for private parties. Drinks were reasonably priced. Bartenders were VERY easy on the eyeballs. And they played all types of music ranging from Migos’ Versace to Miley Cyrus’ We Won’t Stop.
I had a blast! That is until, some random girl YANKED me up and tried to seduce me. She kept dancing on me and whispering in my ear. Then she asked “Have you ever been with a girl?” To that I responded :
The madness did not end there! I then met a guy named JaQuincy. Yes, JAQuincy. Because Quincy just was not enough. Anywho, this fool was grabbing numbers LEFT and RIGHT . . . ALL up in my face lol. No shame was there to be found! He also got that good ol :
