WARNING : Controversial Post!
I am a HUGE supporter of interracial dating. But what I have a problem with is African American men who EXCLUSIVELY date any and everything except African American women.
~ If you’re white, you have a chance.
~If you’re Latino, you’re in there!
~ If you’re mixed, Lord-Jesus pull out your off-white wedding dress, cuz you’re getting wifed!
~ If you’re black, go ahead and invest in some neutered kittens, because the black man that will date you is probably in jail or buried six feet under.
What? Was that harsh?
It’s the bloody truth!
The percentage of black men who will not even ENTERTAIN the idea of dating a black woman has sky-rocketed! I mean, the numbers are up there in heaven chilling with Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
What are some of the reasons (some) black men give for not wanting to date black women? Grab a seat and some popcorn because this is about to get good :
1. They’re loud and ghetto.
2. They’re nothing more than baby mamas.
3. They wear too much fake hair.
And the list goes on and on. They will come up with every excuse in the book to justify this irrational obsession. But the truth is, a lot of these men have been conditioned to believe that having a Caucasian, Latino, or mixed girl is a major achievement.
Now, once again, I have no problem with interracial dating. And I think it’s absolutely okay to have a preference. But when it becomes a complex, that’s when the underlying issues need to be examined. Yes, women of other races are beautiful. But so are African American women. When you think about this issue, it becomes a bit easier to understand why a lot of black women (especially darker skinned women) have low self esteem. The black men that we want, do not want us in return. So where does that leave black women? I’ll tell ya!
Single as a dollar bill!
To those black men who exclusively date non-black women, I challenge you to ask yourself, “What is(are) the reason(s) behind my desire to date women of other races?” Have an earnest dialogue with yourself. I’m sure the answers that emerge will surprise you.
I know that this issue will take some time to resolve (most black men are in denial). So in the meantime and in between time, I have ONE simple request.
Girls of other races, can we share black men?
